Due to consecutive years of funding cuts Somerset Impact is no longer operating as a staffed organisation ensuring the voice of parents, carers and families is heard when services are planned and provided.

At our last Annual General Meeting, realising things are unlikely to improve, we voted to pursue the closure of Somerset Impact with the aim of joining our voice with a larger organisation.

In some ways this was a sad day as Impact worked in a unique way to ensure a very important group of people had their voice heard. However we believe we have found an organisation who will adopt and pursue many of our aims and objectives, so there is much hope for the future.

A formal announcement to members and partner organisations will follow early in November.
